The Journal of Palliative Care is a peer-reviewed, international and interdisciplinary forum for practical, critical thought on palliative care and palliative medicine. The Journal, founded by Dr. David Roy and first published in the Autumn of 1985, is a quarterly publication now in its 33rd year. The Journal’s Editorial Board, authorship, readership, and panel of manuscript reviewers is international. The Journal welcomes submission of original research, but offers a respected, high-quality forum to publish multiple types of papers including opinion papers/commentaries, narrative and humanities works, case reports/case series, and reports on international activities and comparative palliative care. Each manuscript is submitted for evaluation to at least two reviewers, who seek to provide expert guidance on the piece's suitability for prompt publication.
