- Abstract
- This study employs a resource-based view perspective to understand how product strategy influence export performance. According to organizational learning perspective, the ability to manage existing assets and capabilities and the development of new capabilities are arguably among the most relevant innovation success factors. Based on these theoretical backgrounds, a model is proposed to analyze the effects of product quality strategy and product innovation strategy on export performance, as well as the moderating effects of exploitative and exploratory innovation capability. Using survey data from Korean exporters, the findings indicate that the product quality and innovation strategy enhance export performance. In addition, moderating effects of exploitative and exploratory innovation capability are also examined. The finding indicates that exploitative innovation capability enhances the relationship between product quality strategy and export performance.
