- Abstract
- 본 연구는 기존의 대립적인‘효율성이론’과‘보상이론’에 기반하여 사회복지정책에 대한경제적 세계화의 영향을 설명하는 통합적 이론의 틀을 제시한다. 정치적 환경을 고려하지 않은상황에서 국가경제의 세계화는 기본적으로는 각 국가의 사회복지정책에 하락압력으로 작용한다. 그러나 사회복지정책에 대한 경제적 세계화의 영향은 선거에서의 경쟁이나 유권자들의 정치참여 등 정치적 요인들에 의해 매개되기 때문에, 이러한 세계화의 복지정책에 대한 하락압력은 사회복지지출을 확대하려는 선거정치에 의해서 역전된다. 본 연구의 이론적 주장은 1970년부터 2002년까지 자료 이용이 가능한 세계 120개국에 대한 교차시계열분석에 기반해서 체계적으로 검증된다.
