Abstract
This article mainly critics conferences which were held in 2010, the 100th year of Japanese annexation of Korea, especially focusing on the recent Japanese historiography. First of all, the scholars in the recent circle were based on the review and introspection about their way to understand of modern Korean history producing in the post-war period. It is not only limited the task of self-examining their modern history, but also broadened to effort for explaining the East Asia and World in the way of comparison, which is mainly appeared in the discourses like responsibility for colonization, world-wide view for understanding the Japanese annexation of Korea, historical comparison between the Japanese and Western imperialism. In contrast, ethnocentrism in Japanese history and mass-communication is strengthen day by day. In the mood, It is increasing their range that more favorable approach to Itō Hirobumi and interpretation of the Sino-Japanese, Russo-Japanese War, which was understood as self-defense war. Also the TV-drama series based on the Saka no Ue no Kumo (坂の上の雲), written by Ryōtarō Shiba, have influence on view of history in contemporary Japanese people.
