- Abstract
- Radio frequency identification (RFID) has been an emerging technology the last few years. Proliferation of RFID has replaced conventional barcodes with automatic scanning of up to 500 tags attached on objects, humans, or devices. These benefits of RFID, on barcodes, are making it a standalone choice for organizations to adopt. It is a wide-open technology for strategic business applications and expected to have a business share of US3 billion by 2010. © 2011 IEEE.
