- Abstract
- Carbon emissions from deforestation and degradation account for about 20% of global anthropogenic emissions. Strategies and incentives for reducing carbon emissions from deforestation and degradation(REDD) has become key issues and major component of continuing negotiations under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change(UNFCCC). This study aims to address a future direction of REDD/REDD-plus project based on current issues that we review methods available to apply REDD/REDD-plus project. The focal point of this paper is to analyze how the norms prevailing in the international REDD framework are reflected in the design of the REDD mechanism.
