- Abstract
- The purpose of this study was to clarify the behavior of the osteoblastic cell(MC3T3-E1 osteoblastic cell line) induces by RBM(resorbable blasting media)surface treated implantto isolate specific genes that promote the titanium-bone integration by using DNA microarray technique. The Ti disks used for the cell culture were fabricated from grade 4 commercially pure Ti. The disk samples were classified into 2 groups, MS Group: Machined surface, used as control. RBM Group: The experimental groups were composed of cells Cultured on RBM. MTT test assay(Sigma, USA) were used for examining the proliferation of cells. After 24 hours of adhesion, the cell density on anodized titanium surface appeared to be higher than machined titanium surface, but there was no significant difference in cell viability between the MS and RBM(P > 0.05). From the results of this Study, microarray assay revealed that osteoinductive molecules appeared more prominent oil the RBM surface, whereas the adhesion molecules on the biomaterial were higher on the machined surface than RBM Surface, which will affect the phenotype of the plated cells depending on the surface morphology.
