Abstract
The purpose of this study look into the directional point for exterior design in the multi-unit residential buildings. By making a group awareness between with the group who are engaged in design buildings and who aren't, I indicated elements for exterior design aspects of recent multi-unit residential buildings. As prior settlements of improving exterior design, I asked about ①Privacy and Publicity, ②Diversification and Equality, ③Optimization and Flexibility, ④Possibility of Improving Exterior Design. As result of this survey, the group consisting people who are engaged in design of the building tends to have more positive attitude toward publicity of exterior design and its improvement rather than another group. Particularly, with the enhancement on satisfaction of residents by improving the exterior design, we can expect that the durability of a building will be expanded and it will be helpful for the ‘Sustainable Development’. Also growing multi-unit residential building can enrich the residential culture.
