Abstract

The aim of this paper is to consider the way how to teach the history of Korean language life in school education and the direction for the organization of teaching materials of it. Above all I would like to say that the history of Korean language life should be a part of the history of Korean culture. I suggest the two kinds of teaching and leaning method: one is the way to make use of linguistic elements in Korean and the other is the way to tell the story of somebody showing their affection towards Korean language. I also point out the three regards necessary to organize teaching materials: the problems of 1) the harmony with the history of Korean language, 2) the selection of data showing Korean's vivid Korean language life, 3) the way of showing the selected data and the organization of learning activities.
