- Abstract
- 이 논문은 감정이 인간의 삶과 사회현상에서 지대한 부분을 차지하고 있음에도 불구하고, 사회학이 사회적 삶을 합리성으로 축소시켜 이해함으로써, 많은 부분을 그 설명에서 놓치고 말았다는 인식하에, 감정사회학, 그것도 거시적 감정사회학의 필요성을 역설한다. 이러한 작업을 위해, 이 글은 먼저 제2절에서 사회학의 연구 대상은 합리적인 것이 아니라 사회적인 것이라는 전제하에 감정의 사회성을 탐색하여, 감정사회학의 토대를 마련한다. 제3절에서는, 이러한 토대 위에서 성립한 미시적 감정사회학의 성과와 한계를 살펴보고, 행위와 구조를 연결 짓는 거시적 감정사회학의 필요성을 역설한다. 제4절에서는 거시적 감정사회학의 방법론을 모색하고, 제5절에서는 그간 개발된 거시적 감정사회학의 개념적 틀 및 분석 사례를 살펴본다. 마지막으로, 결론에서는 이러한 ‘감정적 전환’이 갖는 사회학적 의미를 논의하고 ‘감정정치’의 필요성을 제기한다.
