Abstract
The effect of processing conditions on the photo luminescence properties of the Ca(Y0.94Eu0.06)BO4 phosphors that were synthesized by ultra-sonic spray pyrolysis was investigated. The morphology and size of the Ca(Y0.94Eu0.06)BO4 phosphors were controlled by changing processing conditions, including precursor concentration, organic additives content, and air flow rate, and substantially affected their luminescent properties. Lower precursor concentration yielded higher emission intensity. High emission intensity was obtained for an air flow rate of 5-201/min. The magnitude of the emission intensity on organic additive concentration followed the order of 0.5M > 0.3M > 0.7M. (c) 2007 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
