- Abstract
- A recent investigation of the polarization dependence of the emission spectra of p-shell multiexcitons of a self-assembled quantum dot shows that most transition intensities are independent of the strength of the Coulomb interactions. In this paper we investigate in detail why most intensities are independent of the strength of the Coulomb interactions and why some intensities depend weakly on them. We find that this dependence on the strength of the Coulomb interactions is directly related to the breaking of electron-hole symmetry. (C) 2007 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
