- Abstract
- 본 논문은 국민의료비 결정요인에 대한 패널분석과 오차수정모형을 이용한 동태적 분석에 기초하여 국민의료비 절감 방안에 대한 정책적 시사점을 논하고 있다. 실증분석 결과, 국민의료비를 결정하는 가장 중요한 요인은 일인당 소득으로 나타났다. 이와 더불어 65세 이상 노인인구 비율과 의사 수가 의료비 지출의 증가를 야기하는 중요한 요인임이 밝혀졌다. 이러한 실증분석 결과에 기초하여 본 논문은 우리나라의 의료비 지출의 급격한 상승을 예방하기 위해 노인장기요양보험의 차질 없는 시행과 만성질환 및 노인성 질환에 대한 올바른 정책적 대응이 필요할 뿐만 아니라 보건의료서비스의 질과 비용에 대한 정보공개의 활성화와 정보교환제도의 구축을 위한 투자가 필요하다고 제안하고 있다.
