- 이 글은 신국사상과 침략성의 관계를 서술하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 한국에 일반적으로 알려진 바와는 다르게 신국사상이 침략적인 것만은 아니며 다양한 요소를 갖고 있었다는 점에 주목하면서, 신국사상의 ‘침략성’이라는 좁혀진 관점에서 1차자료와 선행연구들을 사용하면서 논지를 전개할 것이다. 노리나가의 황국사상이 쇼인의 신국사상으로 계승되면서 나타난 특징을 ‘작위성’의 유무로 설명하는 것이 이 글이 갖고 있는 가장 큰 학술적 기여라고 할 수 있겠다.
