- Abstract
- The purpose of study is to analyze the formation of serious leisure perception among college students who are introduced to fishing through college curriculum for the first time. The research method attempted to analyze the technical content of colaizzi’s phenomenological analysis. The results of the data analysis were divided into 28 topics, 12 subject sets and 3 categories. To summarize the process of perception changing of the leisure, the first stage wais a time of growing anxiety and expectations mixed with a little bit of fear and heart fluttering. The second stage was a time of overcoming unexpected difficulties and becoming strong. They were such beginners that their fishing lines got tangled up an dmade many mistakes hastily. The third stage was the time of maximum immersion for fun and fulfillment. The yfelt tension and excitement. They also fe lt strong emotions for landing fish. The last stage was a time tore cognize the value of experience and techno-l ogy for sport fishing. As a conclusion, the college students could fully appreciate the intrinsic value and charm of natural sports by experiencing boat fishing. It is an oppourtnity to gain positive perception as future leisur e activities. Accordingly, it is necessary to prepare for the exapnsion of marine sports by training professiona l leaders and educational systems with economic efficiency.
