- 이 문장은 陈忠敏이 2013년에 발표한 《汉语方言语音史研究與历史层次分析法》 중 제4장을 발췌하여 번역한 것으로, 원저자는 漢語 방언을 구체적인 예로 들어 층위의 정의와 층위 판단 기준, 분석 방법들에 대한 이론적 문제들에 대해 논의하였다. 제1절은 음운 층위의 정의, 제2절은 음운 층위의 유형, 제3절은 漢語 방언 중 음운 층위의 검증에 대한 내용이다. 본고는 음운 층위의 정의와 분석 방법(상)에 이어진 내용으로, 중국 방언의 구체적인 층위 분석 예와 함께 중국어 방언 음운 층위 분석 방법의 이론적 탐구가 이어지고, 기존 많은 연구에서 층위로 간주하였던 단일 예들을 층위로 간주할 수 없음을 반례를 통해 논증한다.
