- Abstract
- This study has been investigated to determine the scientific effects of balance taping as an assistant at sports field by comparison analysis exercise time on knee joint effect of muscular balance and muscular strength of application by Kinesio tape.
Ten healthy college students in the Department of Sport and Leisure Studies at Choong-Nam were screened, the individuals with a history of previous injury or surgery in their nerve, muscle, and skeletal systems, such as paresthesia and motor disorder, and were excluded from this study.
The results as follows, maximal torque at 60〫 /sec, 180〫 /sec of isokinetic velocity, PT/BW(%) and strength ratio, were measured by Cybex Humac Norm.
The effects of muscular balance and strength were examined statistical program, One-sample t-test, paired t-test and Linear regression analysis, of SPSS Ver. 12.0(p<0.05). When the time of knee exercise, the application of Kinesio tape was more increased of muscular balance control femoris muscles than pre-application. When the time of knee exercise, the application of Kinesio tape was more to strength of extension and flexion on femoral muscle than pre-application. When the time of knee exercise, the change of muscle ratio of flexion was effect to muscular strength.
The present study provides an application of Kinesio tape to changes of muscle ratio and improvements of muscle strength. Therefore, the application of Kinesio tape would be the effective role of helpful assistant to athlete who needs right balance of muscle, and moreover it aids any sports person.
