- Abstract
- 본 연구는 한국언론진흥재단의 ‘10대 청소년 미디어 이용조사’자료를 활용하여 청소년의 뉴스 리터러시 잠재계층을 분류하고, 계층별 특성을 파악하며, 뉴스 미디어 레퍼토리, 경험요인(사회참여, NIE), 개인요인(성별, 학교 급)의 영향을 살펴보고자 하였다. 분석결과, 뉴스 리터러시는 ‘고수준 이용행태’, ‘보편 이용행태’, ‘비균형 이용행태’, ‘무분별 수용’집단으로, 뉴스 미디어 레퍼토리는 ‘뉴미디어&뉴스 이용’, ‘컴퓨터&TV 주이용’, ‘뉴미디어 이용&뉴스 저이용’집단으로 분류되었으며, 잠재계층 간 결합 확률을 보았을 때, 가장 높은 확률을 보인 것은 ‘보편 이용행태’와 ‘뉴미디어&뉴스 이용’이었다. 경험요인과 개인요인의 영향을 보았을 때, 사회참여경험이 뉴스 리터러시 잠재계층 내 모든 비교에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 청소년의 올바른 뉴스 미디어 이용과 리터러시 함양을 위한 교육과정 및 후속 연구의 방향성을 제시한다는 데 의의가 있다.
