- Abstract
- This study aims to conduct an overall analysis of an online brain fitness English program which has been effectively used in private English language institutes. The primary purpose of this study is finding the relevance between the brain fitness learning program and a theoretical orientation. A survey was utilized for three months to identify a total of six lists: educational trends, the educational philosophy, the theoretical background, key features of the online training program, learning effectiveness, and the learning process and learning concept. In order to do this, we analyzed a total of 9 levels of English Speech Contents including about 40,040 words, 20,000 chunks and 10,496 sentences in terms of brain-based learning and brain-fitness program’s activities. The results indicate that both developers and researchers agree that the theoretical aspects of the brain fitness English program is based on self-regulated learning and left-right brain-based learning theory. Therefore, this study sheds new light on the current status of brain- based learning in the field of English education and suggests educational directions for the future. Moreover, it suggests that there is a need for further research on current brain-based learning in private English online education, specifically in ESP.
