- In section 4.1 of the original article titled Enzyme production models and kinetics, the lag in enzyme production due to lower substrate consumption as a function [Formula presented] of the time (t) was expressed as: [Formula presented] An error was noted in the exponential power factor of the equation and the correct Eq. (1) should be read as: [Formula presented] Similarly, the substrate consumption ([Formula presented]) described as a degradation function of the initial substrate concentration ([Formula presented]) was expressed in Eq. (4) as: [Formula presented] The correct equation should be read as: [Formula presented] The authors deeply regret for this oversight and apologize for the inconvenience caused. © 2022 Elsevier Ltd
