- Abstract
- The visual perception and pictorial elements are an important feature of Peter Kurzeck's work. The present article examines these aspects with regard to those works the author recorded on tape. On the one hand, the narrative function of visual elements is explained, summarizing different topics, motives and symbols, which work as a key for the understanding of these texts. On the other hand, Kurzeck's literary view and presentation of his surroundings is analysed by comparing it with E.T.A. Hoffmann's Des Vetters Eckfenster. Against this backdrop questions of visual perspectivation and framing, but also aspects of narrative speculation are focused on.
