- Abstract
- 석조건축의 석탑에 대하여 자세한 조사를 바탕으로 한 보고서가 발간되고 있고 연구 역시 꾸준하게 이루어지고 있다. 이 가운데 석탑의 기단에 관한 연구 역시 포함되어 있다. 최근 연구 중에는 기단부의 결구에 따라 유형을 분류한 성과가 있는데 시대성에 초점을 맞추어 연구가 진행되었다. 통일신라시대 삼층석탑을 대상으로하여 하층기단과 상층기단의 이중기단을 조사하여 면석과 갑석을 유형별로 분석하고 어떤 결구방식을 사용했는지 분류하고 있다. 다만 석재 수의 증가, 감소에 관한 형식에 집중되고 있어서 하층기단과 상층기단의 연관성에 대한 분석이 필요하다고 판단되었다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 자세한 실측조사가 이루어진 영남지역 삼층석탑을 대상으로 하층기단과 상층기단의 결구방식을 건축적 관점에서 유형 분류하고 석탑의 규모를 참고하여 상, 하층기단의 상관성을 고찰하였다.
