- Abstract
- The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of lumbar elastic taping treatment on isokinetic function, fitness, static and dynamic balance in high school judo players. Sixteen high school judo players participated in a lumbar elastic taping treatment, control treatment at weekly intervals, respectively. Also, subjects performed isokinetic function, fitness, balance measurement according to each treatment. As a results, 120°/sec flexor peak torque was the higher in lumbar elastic taping treatment than in control treatment. Leg anterior/posterior index(API) was the lower in lumbar elastic taping treatment than in control treatment. Right leg overall stability index(OSI), left leg OSI, Right leg API, left leg API, Right leg medial/lateral index(MLI) were the lower in lumbar elastic taping treatment than in control treatment, respectively. Back strength was the higher in lumbar elastic taping treatment than in control treatment.
In conclusion, lumbar elastic taping treatment is effective for dynamic balance, and may be a positive lumbar strength and power.
