- Abstract
- 공산당선언은, ‘인간과 시민의 권리선언’(1789)이 목적으로 했던 공화국이 아닌 공산주의라는 새로운 사회의 실현을 목적으로 했던 사회비판서이자 사회문제의 진단서이다. 맑스와 엥겔스의 전체 사상은 공산당선언이라는 끈으로 연결되어 있다. 그 끈은 기계적 메커니즘이 아니라 인간의 사회적 관계와 실천의 이념으로 짜여있다. 선언은 새로운 사회가 막연한 이론을 통해서가 아니라 사회문제의 근본적인 해결을 향한 행위 속에서 해결될 수 있다는 것, 그래서 노동자 스스로의 ‘투쟁과 해방의 정치’ 행위와 ‘노동과 생산’의 행위를 통해 자신의 문제를 해결할 수 있다는 것을 안내해 준다. 선언은 민주적이고 공개적인 토론의 결과물이자 어떻게 이론이 ‘실천으로 즉각적인 통로’를 가지고 있는지 그리고 어떻게 이론이 ‘실천의 영역을 넘나들을 수’ 있는지를 보여주는 대표적 작품이다.
