- Abstract
- The Purpose of this study is to contribute to the development of an efficient pre-childbirth management system for elderly gravida by developing and verifying the effectiveness of a pre-childbirth exercise program for preventing negative obstetrical prognosis of elderly maternity based scientific basis regarding the issue resulting from pregnancy of advanced maternal age and its cause.
For the purpose of developing the program, reflective circulatory structure implementation research method of Dickinson College was used. The study was conducted in total of 3 sessions and participant is 4 elderly maternity. The exercies program consisted of 12 weeks in total and was implemented from the 27thweek of pregnancy to right before childbirth.
First, The pregnancy and childbirth of the research participants that were revealed through the research are as follow. Most of all, all 4 elderly maternity that participated in the research experienced safe childbirth and succeeded in natural childbirth.
Second, Pregenancy induced complications or negative obstetrical prognosis resulting from pregnancy of advanced maternal age did not occur. lnstead, they were able to control their weight through exercise during pregnancy, increase their stamina and relieve pain and edema that had occurred before exercising. The elderly gravida that underwent their pregnancy period through pre-childbirth exercise had positive impact on their family members and acquaintances and helped their obstetricians to expect positive results. In addition, their pre-childbirth care through exercise allowed the participants to increase confidence in giving birth, while also relieving their anxiety and stress there by helping them anticipate childbirth with positive mindset.
