- Abstract
- To evaluate 4G cellular systems, a system-level simulation (SLS) with the ITU-R channel model is often used. For the evaluation of the next generation communication systems, a SLS including a device-to-device (D2D) system is needed. However, as the number of multi-paths in a D2D link is squared compared to the link between a base station and a mobile station, the simulation run-time has to increase greatly. In this paper, we propose the ITU-R channel model extension to the D2D channel and the Doppler response-based fast fading channel generation as a realization method for the D2D channel. The proposed method can significantly reduce the simulation run-time.
