- Abstract
- This paper is an attempt to trace good examples for meaning and teaching of leisure in four gospels of Bible. Jesus is one of the best teachers over the world such as Socrates, Buddha, and Confucius. Although it is generally accepted that Jesus is the religious leader and founder of Christianity, this research explores that Jesus taught the importance of leisure in daily life and leisure as educational meaning in his working and teaching. It focuses on not just historical Jesus but Jesus’ ministries. Actually Jesus was interested in leisure through his life. Jesus had even said that his disciples who were very tired with their work should have leisure. Through his teaching of leisure, this research shows Jesus as a balanced worker between work and leisure.
