- Abstract
- 이 논문은 퍼머턴의 직접적 숙지 이론이 소여의 신화 문제를 극복하고 정초론(定礎論, foundationalism)을 살릴 수 있는지 검토하는 데에 목적이 있다. 1절에서는 퍼머턴의 직접적 숙지 이론의 핵심적인 내용을 살펴 본다. 2절에서는 버그만이 그 이론에 대해서 제기한 반론을 소개한 후, 3절에서는 버그만의 반론이 타당한지를 검토한다. 4절에서는 퍼머턴의 이론에서 미비한 논점들을 보완할 수 있는 방안을 모색하고, 이러한 보완에도 불구하고 퍼머턴이 향후 해결해야 할 의문점들을 5절에서 지적함으로써 글을 맺는다.
