- Abstract
- This study validated the Contextual Supports and Barriers measures developed by Lent, Brown, Brenner, et al.(2001) with Korean samples. The study focused on examining the applicability of this measure for the Korean college students in various majors. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses partially supported a 3-factor structure for the Supports measure (social support, instrumental support, financial support) and for the Barriers measure (physical constraint, social influence, discrimination), respectively. Criterion validity was demonstrated with the correlation with other career measures. Comparisons with the original measure and other support and barriers scales were discussed.
