- Abstract
- The purpose of this study is to search for an effective way to teach attributive forms of Na adjective to beginning level Japanese language students by carefully examining the variations, frequency of appearance, and frequently misused ones of these Na adjectives in their writings, as well as to explore the relevance of easy-to-misuse Na adjectives. While “Suki-na”, “Iroiro-na”, “Kirei-na”, “Jyozu-na” and “Nessin-na” are some of Na adjectives appeared in higher frequency, various misuses are found in these adjectives as well. Thus it is necessary to present the changes of “Suki-na”, “Iroiro-na” and “Kirei-na”, which multiple students misused, as examples when teaching attributives in classrooms. Awareness of individual students, whether or not there were misuse feedbacks from the teacher, affects the increase or decrease of the misuses of these Na adjectives in their next writing project in various manners.
