- Abstract
- We try to identify the effect of media in contents industry. Broadcasting and telecommunications industries(especially, broadcasting and information services(hereafter, “B&I”)) have been considered to act as the media in contents business, and just few previous studies estimated the economic effects of final demand from B&I. We apply the interindustry analysis to find the effect on production inducement and forward backward linkage effect. Moreover, differences and trading structures among regions have been revealed by the analysis based on interregional input-output table 2010 and 2013. Results show that effects on production inducement converged on the Seoul metropolitan area with slight decrease by time-series. Forward linkage effect increases incrementally for both industries and backward linkage effect emerges as time goes by. Analysis for interdependency among regions anchored on import as well as export volume has been suggested for the future research.
